World Bank Group President Ajay Banga, accompanied by a delegation, arrived at the Sikh holy site Gurdwara Panja Sahib in Hasan Abdal.
On his arrival, the District Police Officer Attock and the Deputy Commissioner Attock welcomed him. The World Bank Group president paid respects at Gurdwara Panja Sahib and took part in religious rites. He also partook of langar at the gurdwara’s langar hall and commended the arrangements. The Sikh community presented Ajay Banga with a traditional siropa.

Federal Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb and Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Ramesh Singh Arora were present with him on the occasion.
Senior civil and police officials were present, with comprehensive security arrangements in place.
The Punjab government stated that renovation and beautification work on historical religious sites is ongoing. It added that thousands of local and foreign Sikh pilgrims visit Pakistan every year, particularly during Baisakhi.
The visit was termed as a reflection of Pakistan’s commitment to religious freedom, minority rights and the promotion of religious tourism.
