Mishal Malik, wife of jailed Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik, has expressed grave concerns that her husband could be executed on January 28, as she demanded his release from India’s Tihar Jail.
She said Pakistan is incomplete without Kashmir and emphasized that her struggle is not only for her husband but for the millions of martyrs.
Addressing traders at Bajaur Plaza in Raja Bazaar, Rawalpindi, Mishal Malik said the Kashmir movement is not a political struggle but one of sacrifice and humanity.
“We are not out for votes or power,” she said, adding that Kashmiris and Palestinians are currently fighting the biggest battle between truth and falsehood. She accused the Indian government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi of carrying out severe genocide in occupied Kashmir.
She further stated that the honor of Kashmiri mothers, sisters, and daughters has been violated, millions have been martyred, and thousands remain missing, while the world watches in silence. Mosques are being demolished, she said, warning that silence only strengthens oppression and that the idols of fear must be broken.
Mishal Malik also highlighted that Yasin Malik has been held in solitary confinement for the past six and a half years and has been denied access to legal counsel and family visits.
