Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan said the foundation stone of N-25 was a historic day for the National Highway Authority (NHA).
He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, noting that the PM presence highlights the project’s significance.
Abdul Aleem Khan said that nearly 40% of the total network of this highway lies in Balochistan, emphasizing the province’s importance as 'the heart of Pakistan'. He added that the federal government’s policy focuses on improving connectivity nationwide and linking remote areas of Balochistan to the national network.
The minister stated that the N-25 Highway stretches over 800 kilometers and called it a true ‘game changer’. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has released special funds for the project. In Balochistan, 16 projects worth Rs73.5 billion are currently underway, and by June 30, revenue had increased to Rs10.9 billion.
He reiterated that connecting remote regions of Balochistan to the national network is a federal priority adding that the N-25 is not just a road but a milestone for the development of both Balochistan and Pakistan.
