A major development has emerged regarding the restoration of direct air connectivity between Pakistan and Bangladesh, as Bangladesh’s national carrier, Biman Airlines, has officially released its flight schedule for Karachi.
According to sources, Biman Airlines’ first direct flight in several years will depart from Dhaka to Karachi on January 29. In the initial phase, the airline will operate two weekly flights between Dhaka and Karachi.
Seat bookings for the direct Dhaka–Karachi flights have already begun, and all seats on the inaugural flight were sold out within a few hours of bookings opening.
The restoration of direct air links has sparked a wave of happiness among the people of both Pakistan and Bangladesh. The Civil Aviation Authority had earlier granted Biman Airlines permission to operate direct flights.
It is worth noting that last month, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Biman Airlines also signed an agreement for cargo transportation.
