The gold price in Pakistan saw a dip on Wednesday, following a massive surge over the previous week.
The price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs1,200, bringing the new rate to Rs466,762, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs1,028, settling at Rs400,173. The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also declined by Rs942 to be sold for Rs366,838.

International gold prices
The downward movement was not limited to Pakistan. In the global bullion market, gold fell by $12, reaching $4,444 per ounce.
Silver prices in Pakistan
Silver prices, however, did not follow the trend. The price of 24-karat silver per tola remained stable at Rs8,361, while 10 grams of silver also stayed the same as the previous session at Rs7,168.
