Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha said the team had arrived as a strong unit and hoped to leave Sri Lanka with a series victory.
The trophy for the Pakistan-Sri Lanka T20I series was unveiled by Pakistan captain Salman Agha and Sri Lanka skipper Dasun Shanaka. Expressing his thoughts on the occasion, Agha maintained Pakistan would play matches in Sri Lanka before the World Cup and use the tour as part of their preparations for the tournament.
He termed Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Rizwan as mega stars, adding that they had rendered many services for Pakistan.
The captain said Pakistan wanted to test future players during the T20I series.
He said Khawaja Nafay was a good batsman and also a capable wicketkeeper, and hoped he would carry his domestic form into international cricket.
Salman Agha reiterated that Pakistan had come as a well-knit team and hoped to win the series in Sri Lanka.
