Zimbabwe have named Sikandar Raza Butt as captain for the T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka next month, with experienced campaigners Brendan Taylor and Graeme Cremer included in the squad.
Taylor, who turns 40 on the eve of the tournament, is set to keep wicket. He recently returned from retirement after completing a three-and-a-half-year suspension for breaches of the ICC’s Anti-Corruption and Anti-Doping codes.
Leg-break bowler Cremer, 39, also returned to the T20 side in November during the triangular series with Pakistan and Sri Lanka, ending a seven-year absence.
Fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani, now fully fit, is the only addition to the group that featured in the triangular series.
