Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar visited on Friday the Bangladeshi High Commission in Islamabad to offer condolences on the passing of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
While expressing condolences to the diplomats of the Bangladeshi High Commission, Dar said that the entire Pakistani nation shares equally in the grief of its Bangladeshi brothers and sisters. He maintained that he had received the news of Begum Khaleda Zia’s passing with deep sorrow.
Dar extended heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family, relatives, and political associates. He added that Begum Khaleda Zia had dedicated her life to public service and the welfare of the people.
"Her courageous leadership, steadfastness, and determination in difficult and trying times have left a lasting legacy. She will always be remembered with respect in the hearts of all. In this difficult hour, the people of Pakistan stand in full solidarity with the people of Bangladesh," Dar maintained.
