Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial said on Friday that the digital transformation is the central pillar of the FBR’s reform agenda, while the gradual integration of process automation is reshaping tax administration.
According to the FBR statement, a batch of 136 probationary officers from the 53rd Common Training Programme is currently undergoing training at the Civil Services Academy, Lahore. The officers visited the FBR headquarters in Islamabad, where they were briefed on various reform measures.
While chairing the briefing session, Langrial said that steps are being taken to promote performance, transparency, accountability and merit. The probationary officers were briefed on the FBR’s mandate, organisational structure and core functions.
