Pakistan Under-19 booked a place in the final of the tri-nation Under-19 ODI series after defeating Afghanistan Under-19 by a commanding 133 runs at the Sunrise Sports Club in Harare on Friday.
According to details, the victory rested on a half-century from Sameer Minhas and a five-wicket haul by Umar Zaib, highlighting Pakistan’s strength in both departments. After winning the toss, Pakistan chose to bat and made 238 for nine in their 50 overs.

Sameer Minhas led the scoring with 56, striking six fours and one six. Usman Khan added 43 and Ali Hasan Baloch made 39, steadying the innings after two quick wickets fell at 166. The remaining seven wickets contributed only 63 runs.
Afghanistan’s reply never settled, and the side was dismissed for 105 in 30.2 overs.

Umar Zaib led the bowling with figures of five for 31 from 7.3 overs. Momin Qamar and Ahmed Hussain took two wickets each.
For Afghanistan, Salman Khan Ahmedzai and Zaitullah Shaheen claimed two wickets apiece. The result confirmed Pakistan Under-19’s place in the final, where they will meet Zimbabwe Under-19 on January 6.
Before the final, Pakistan will face Zimbabwe Under-19 in their last league match on Sunday.
