Pakistan, together with seven other Muslim nations, has issued a joint statement urging the international community to uphold its legal and moral responsibilities regarding the ongoing crisis in Gaza.
The statement, conveyed by the Foreign Office spokesperson, called for immediate pressure on Israel to lift restrictions on the delivery of essential goods to Gaza. It also demanded that United Nations agencies be granted full and unhindered access to the region.
Additionally, the communiqué urged that the Rafah crossing be opened in both directions, in line with the plan proposed by former US President Donald Trump, to facilitate the movement of aid and civilians.
The foreign ministers emphasized the need for swift and coordinated international action to address the humanitarian crisis and protect civilians in Gaza.
