The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled its latest Test player rankings, highlighting key movements among the world’s top batsmen and bowlers.
India’s Jasprit Bumrah remains the leader among bowlers, while England’s Joe Root continues to dominate the batting charts.
India’s pacer Jasprit Bumrah has once again secured the number one position in the ICC Test bowling rankings. Australia’s Mitchell Starc climbs one spot to second, maintaining his reputation as one of the premier fast bowlers in the world.
Pakistan’s Nauman Ali has shown impressive consistency, moving up two places to third. Fellow Australians also made notable gains, with Gus Atkinson jumping three spots to seventh. England’s Brydon Chriss made a significant leap, climbing six positions to 23rd.
Rising stars from Pakistan and England
Pakistan’s fast bowling duo also saw upward movement in the rankings. Shaheen Afridi advanced 24th, Mohammad Abbas moved up to 28th, and Sajid Khan rose to 29th, reflecting the depth in Pakistan’s pace and spin attack. England’s Josh Tong also improved his standing, climbing 13 places to 30th.
In the batting department, England maintains a stronghold with Joe Root leading the ICC Test batsmen list. Harry Brook has moved up three spots to second, highlighting his growing impact at the international level.
Pakistan’s Saud Shakeel has also made progress, rising one place to ninth, marking an important milestone for the middle-order batsman.
