The Pakistan’s white-ball team’s foreign coaching staff will join the squad directly in Sri Lanka for the forthcoming T20I series.
Sources divulged on Tuesday that the foreign coaching staff includes head coach Mike Hesson and bowling coach Ashley Noffke. Fielding coach Shane McDermott, physiotherapist Cliffe Deacon and strength and conditioning coach Grant Luden are also part of the group.
Tthe foreign coaches had returned to their respective countries for annual leave over Christmas and New Year eve after the tri-nation series. No training camp will be held for the national T20 squad ahead of the Sri Lanka tour.
Squad members will reach Sri Lanka from Pakistan on January 4 and 5.
Players engaged in franchise leagues have also been given the option to join the team directly in Sri Lanka, sources said. Shadab Khan, named in the squad, is playing in the Big Bash League, while several other players are featuring in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
The first match of the three-match T20I series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be played on January 7.
