President Donald Trump said that the United States has now become the real United Nations, claiming that eight wars were brought to an end within 11 months.
In a statement shared on social media, President Trump welcomed the ceasefire between Thailand and Cambodia. He said he was pleased that the fighting between Thailand and Cambodia had stopped and expressed hope that both countries would live in peace after the agreement.
President Trump congratulated the leaders of both countries, saying they took a swift and fair decision for peace. He said the United States was proud of its role in helping to secure the ceasefire.
He said that eight wars were halted in 11 months and added that the United States had effectively become the real United Nations.
President Trump said that no one else had helped in resolving global conflicts. He added that no meaningful role was being played in stopping the Russia–Ukraine war and said the United Nations should be active in promoting global peace.
