Commander of the Royal Bahrain Naval Force, Rear Admiral Ahmed Mohammed Ebrahim Al Bin Ali said on Saturday that the Pakistani nation is bravely fighting against terrorism.
The 124th Midshipmen and 32nd Short Course Commission passing-out parade was held at the Pakistan Naval Academy. Cadets marched past the saluting base carrying the national flag. Commander of the Royal Bahrain Naval Force, Rear Admiral Ahmed Mohammed Ebrahim Al Bin Ali has addressed the parade.
He expressed gratitude to the Chief of the Pakistan Navy for the invitation, adding that he too had graduated from the Pakistan Naval Academy.
“Pakistan’s armed forces are among the finest in the world,” said Rear Admiral Al Bin Ali. “Technology has changed the nature of warfare, and one must adapt to modern technology,” he added.
“It is an honour to attend the passing-out parade. The cadets have a world of opportunities before them,” he said, urging the cadets to use their skills for the benefit of the nation.
“The Pakistan Naval Academy provides professional training. Pakistan is our brotherly country,” Rear Admiral Al Bin Ali said.
He added that training cadets from other countries at the academy is a matter of pride. “Bahrain attaches great importance to its relations with Pakistan. We are bound by ties of Islamic brotherhood. Professional conduct is essential in one’s career. The friendship between Pakistan and Bahrain will always endure,” he said, urging cadets to serve the country with their best abilities.
Rear Admiral Ahmed Mohammed Ebrahim Al Bin Ali was the chief guest at the event. On his arrival at the Naval Academy, he was received by the Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf.
Admiral Naveed Ashraf received the parade salute. Rear Admiral Al Bin Ali inspected the parade while Commodore Zia-ur-Rehman delivered the welcome address.
“Pakistan Navy’s performance is a matter of pride. The Naval Academy is a distinguished institution,” said Commodore Zia-ur-Rehman.
The chief guest presented awards to cadets for outstanding performance. Officer Cadet Umar Mukhtar received the Chief of Naval Staff Gold Medal. Midshipman Muhammad Uzair Abbas was awarded the Sword of Honour for exceptional performance, while Midshipman Shahab Ahmed was declared the Best All-Round Cadet. The Chief of Naval Staff Gold Medal for Iraq was awarded to Fahad Hasan.
