In Lakki Marwat, a joint operation by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and the police resulted in the killing of six militants, including a highly wanted terrorist.
According to police, the operation in Takhti Khel was conducted under the direct supervision of Bannu RPO Sajjad Khan and DPO Nazir Khan. Among those killed was commander Nusratullah. Nusratullah carried a bounty of Rs2.5 million and was wanted in more than 28 criminal cases.
The terrorists were armed with modern and heavy weapons. However, due to a strong response by the police, six militants were killed and several others injured. The police have cordoned off the entire area and search operations are ongoing.
