United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Friday concluded his one-day maiden visit to Pakistan.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed satisfaction over the longstanding fraternal ties between Pakistan and the UAE. The prime minister said: "It was a pleasure to welcome my dear brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, on an official visit to Pakistan, adding to the warmth and festivities as we enter the New Year together”.

He said the two sides held “most cordial and constructive talks”, during which they reviewed various aspects of their wide-ranging bilateral cooperation, as well as efforts aimed at peace and prosperity.
The prime minister said Pakistan was proud of its “longstanding, deep-rooted, fraternal ties” with the UAE, which, he added, were growing stronger under the leadership of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates have agreed on shared goals of peace, stability and sustainable development during the first official visit of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Pakistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held talks with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Islamabad. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir were present at the meeting.
Both sides agreed to further strengthen the brotherly relations between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. Ongoing bilateral cooperation projects came under review during the talks.
The leaders stressed the need to expand cooperation in investment, energy, infrastructure and information technology. They also agreed to increase the volume of trade between Pakistan and the UAE.
A decision was taken to widen partnerships in people-to-people contacts and the technology sector. The prime minister and the UAE president exchanged views on regional and global developments. Both sides reaffirmed their resolve to maintain close contact on matters of mutual interest and again agree
