The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics said on Friday that inflation recorded a 0.24 per cent increase last week.
According to details, the PBS said that on an annual basis, the inflation rate stood at 3.75 per cent. Prices of 17 essential items increased, while rates of 14 items declined. Prices of 20 essential items remained stable last week. The price of live broiler chicken rose by 11.11 per cent. Chillies by 3 per cent, eggs by 2.88 per cent, and cooking oil by up to 0.32 per cent became costlier, the PBS added.
Last week, mung beans, yoghurt, beef, clothes, timber, and energy savers also became costlier. However, tomatoes, potatoes, sugar, onions, mash lentils, garlic, salt, gur, diesel, and LPG became cheaper.
