According to details surfaced on Wednesday, the CPPA has submitted the request for the monthly fuel adjustment for November. The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) will decide on the request for reduction in electricity prices on December 31.
According to the CPPA, discos supplied 7.813 billion units of electricity in November. The cost per unit of electricity remained Rs6.16. Hydropower accounted for 39.16 per cent, imported coal 5.06 per cent, domestic coal 9.34 per cent, and gas 8.44 per cent of electricity production.
According to the request, electricity production from domestic LNG was 8.64 per cent in November, and electricity generated from furnace oil was 25.23 per cent. Nepra will make the final decision on any reduction in electricity prices after consideration.
