Congressional Democrats have released 19 newly obtained photos from the estate of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, showing President Donald Trump alongside other high-profile figures.
The release comes ahead of the Justice Department’s planned disclosure of Epstein-related documents next week.
Trump is featured in three photos shared by House Oversight Committee Democrats. One shows him smiling with women whose faces were redacted, another depicts him standing next to Epstein, and a third shows him seated with another woman, tie loosened. The timing and location of the photos remain unclear.
Speaking at the White House, Trump said, “Everybody knew this man… he has photos with everybody… that’s no big deal.” White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson defended Trump, noting the administration’s work supporting Epstein’s victims and accusing Democrats of politicizing the images.
Other prominent figures in batch
The released photos also include former President Bill Clinton, former Trump aide Steve Bannon, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, and former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers. The images show some of Epstein’s properties, women with faces redacted, and personal items including a novelty “Trump condom.”
Representative Robert Garcia emphasized that the images raise questions about Epstein’s relationships with the powerful and stressed that the Justice Department must release all files. Democrats claim they are committed to protecting victims’ identities while ensuring transparency.
Political fallout and reactions
Committee Republicans, including Chairman James Comer, accused Democrats of “cherry-picking” images to create a false narrative against Trump.
Trump, who was friends with Epstein in the 1990s and early 2000s, says he severed ties before Epstein’s 2008 conviction. He has consistently denied knowledge of Epstein’s abuse or sex trafficking activities.
Trump signed a bipartisan bill last month mandating the Justice Department to release unclassified Epstein documents within 30 days. The deadline for the full release is December 19. Congressional Democrats continue to obtain and release estate documents while awaiting the federal disclosure.
