YouTuber Adil Raja has formally apologized on his social media platforms in compliance with an order from the London High Court.
The court had directed Raja to publish an apology for making baseless allegations against Brigadier Rashid Naseer.
According to court records, Raja admitted that he had no evidence or defence for the accusations he levelled against Brigadier Rashid Naseer. The court had also warned that failure to comply with its directives would constitute contempt of court.
Earlier, the court had ruled that non-compliance with its decision could lead to penalties, including the seizure of Raja’s assets. Publishing the apology forms part of Raja’s adherence to the court’s orders.
Acting on the instructions of Deputy High Court Judge Richard Spearman, Raja posted a summary of the judgment across all his social media platforms. In the summary, Raja stated that on 9 October 2025, the High Court ordered him to pay £50,000 to Rashid Naseer.
Raja further acknowledged that between 14 and 29 June 2022, he had made several defamatory allegations against Rashid Naseer, for which he had no defence. He also shared a link to the complete judgment.
The judge ordered that Raja must not publish any statement directly or indirectly referring to Brigadier Naseer, his employees, servants, agents, or anything that could identify him.
Raja had previously accused Brigadier Naseer of corruption, electoral fraud, and blackmail on his social media platforms. The London High Court delivered its judgment in the defamation case in October, ruling that Raja could no longer repeat these allegations.
Under the court’s order, Raja must pay Brigadier Naseer £50,000 in damages by 22 December. Additionally, he has been instructed to pay £260,000 in initial legal costs.
According to the judgment, the apology will remain visible on Raja’s X (Twitter), Facebook, YouTube, and website pages for 28 days.
