Pakistan’s gold market saw the second consecutive drop on Wednesday in line with international trends.
Gold became significantly cheaper across Pakistan as the price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs1,200, bringing the new rate to Rs440,662, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs1,029, settling at Rs377,796. The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also declined by Rs943 to be sold for Rs346,325.
International gold prices
The downward movement was not limited to Pakistan. In the global bullion market, gold fell by $12, reaching $4,207 per ounce.

Silver prices in Pakistan
Silver, however, saw an opposite trend. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs265, reaching Rs6,367, while 10 grams of silver hiked by Rs227 to be sold for Rs5,458.
On the global front, international silver went up by $2.65 to $60.95 per ounce.
