Lahore and Dera Ghazi Khan witnessed separate explosions caused by gas leakage, leaving several people badly burnt.
According to rescue personnel, three people were injured when an explosion occurred in a cylinder shop in Shahdara, Farrukhabad. The injured were given first aid and then taken to hospital.
In a separate incident, five people were burnt when an LPG cylinder caught fire in Dera Ghazi Khan. The injured were shifted to the Teaching Hospital.
Rescue officials said that the fire broke out during the refilling of an LPG cylinder, burning five people including the shopkeeper. They were provided with initial medical treatment before being moved to the Teaching Hospital.
