Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) President Abdul Aleem Khan said on Sunday that Punjab should be divided into three or four provinces, and that creating more provinces would harm no one.
Addressing a workers’ convention in Faisalabad, he said that central, southern and northern Punjab should be formed as separate provinces so that people may obtain essential services closer to home.
He said that many citizens must travel long distances for basic needs, which creates unnecessary hardship.
The IPP chief added that such facilities should not be limited to Punjab alone but must also be ensured in Balochistan.
