The Punjab Bar Council (PbBC) has suspended the licences of more than 100 lawyers over forgery.
According to details surfaced on Saturday, cases have been registered against 427 fake lawyers, the PbBC said. The Anti-Corruption Committee has sent the degrees of more than 80,000 lawyers to various universities for verification, according to the PbBC.
Action is under way against individuals who obtained degrees and licences through forgery, the PbBC maintained.
