Pakistan’s gold market saw the third consecutive drop on Thursday, after climbing significantly.
Gold became significantly cheaper across Pakistan as the price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs1,700, bringing the new rate to Rs441,462, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs1,457, settling at Rs378,482. The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also declined by Rs1,336 to be sold for Rs346,954.
International gold prices
The downward movement was not limited to Pakistan. In the global bullion market, gold fell by $17, reaching $4,191 per ounce.

Silver prices in Pakistan
Silver also continued the same trend. The price of silver per tola declined by Rs85, reaching Rs6,000, while 10 grams of silver decreased by Rs72 to be sold for Rs5,144.
On the global front, international silver dropped slightly by $0.85 to $57.28 per ounce.
