Pakistan’s gold market saw the second consecutive drop on Wednesday, after climbing significantly.
Gold became significantly cheaper across Pakistan as the price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs1,000, bringing the new rate to Rs443,162, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs858, settling at Rs379,939. The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also declined by Rs786 to be sold for Rs348,290.
International gold prices
The downward movement was not limited to Pakistan. In the global bullion market, gold fell by $10, reaching $4,208 per ounce.

Silver prices in Pakistan
Unlike gold, silver continued its upward trend. The price of silver per tola rose by Rs81, reaching Rs6,085, while 10 grams of silver increased by Rs69.
On the global front, international silver climbed slightly, rising $0.81 to $58.13 per ounce.
