Positive signs have emerged from Pakistan’s key economic sector, as textile exports hit a new high in the first four months of the fiscal year.
From July to October, textile exports surpassed $6.39bn, marking a 4% increase compared to $6.14bn during the same period last year.
According to official figures, textile exports in October 2025 stood at $161m, showing a slight decline of 0.57% compared to the previous month. However, the figure was marginally lower than October of last year, when exports were $162m.
Meanwhile, domestic textile production also showed improvement. Reports indicate that during the first quarter of the fiscal year, the sector’s production grew by 1.88%, with a notable 5.95% increase in September 2025 alone.
These trends highlight the resilience and growth of Pakistan’s textile industry, reinforcing its critical role in the national economy.
