Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has alleged that he faces injustice after his name was placed on the 'stop list'.
Speaking at a press conference in Peshawar, CM Afridi said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s due rights remain withheld and that the province would present its case firmly at the meeting scheduled for December 4. He claimed that schemes to push the PTI against the wall persist and that the centre has yet to release the complete allocation.
He asserted that efforts to sideline the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf continue and that the province has not received its full share under the NFC Awards.
CM Afridi said that the NFC share for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has not been fully distributed and that the province has been deprived of Rs1,350 billion over the past seven years. He added that universities would hold seminars on Monday regarding the NFC Award and that the province continues to face discriminatory treatment.
The chief minister said that he aims to secure a unified stance from all political parties on the NFC issue. He termed peaceful protest as a legitimate course towards justice and added that the party’s performance explains why it forms the provincial government for a third time.
