Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Sunday officially inaugurated the second phase of the Lahore Development Plan.
A meeting regarding Phase Two was held where detailed briefings were provided and essential directives issued. A step-by-step monthly work plan was presented to make every neighborhood in Lahore bright and livable.
Under this phase, a total of 6,284 streets across the city would be fully upgraded. By June 30 next year, the Lahore Municipal Corporation’s 5,798 streets and WASA’s 486 streets would be modernized.
She emphasized that quality will not be compromised in any phase of the development plan while directing authorities to ensure timely completion of all projects and stressed that no delays would be tolerated. The goal, she said, is to make every corner of Lahore free from decay and aesthetically pleasant, reflecting the city’s rich cultural heritage and civic pride.
