Tremors were felt in Kalat and its surrounding areas, causing panic among residents.
According to the Seismological Centre, the earthquake measured 3.0 on the Richter scale and had a depth of 12 km. It has been reported that the epicentre lay near Kalat.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department reported no loss of life or property. Residents left homes and buildings in fear and checked on one another’s safety.
