The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially announced the venues and schedule for the 2026 T20 World Cup.
According to details surfaced on Tuesday, matches in the mega-event will take place at eight grounds, five in India and three in Sri Lanka. In India, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Mumbai will host matches, while in Sri Lanka, two stadiums in Colombo and one in Kandy will be used.
According to the ICC, the 20 teams have been divided into four groups. Group A includes Pakistan, India, the United States, Namibia and the Netherlands. The opening match between Pakistan and the Netherlands will take place on 7 February.
The Pakistan team will play all their matches in Sri Lanka. The tournament will run from February 7 to March 8, 2026. The high-profile clash between Pakistan and India is scheduled for 15 February in Colombo. Three matches will be played on the opening day.
