The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has denied reports claiming that the names of two new PSL teams have been finalized.
According to the PCB, as per procedure, successful bidders will have the right to finalize the name of their new team themselves. PCB stated that the two new PSL teams may be named after Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Hyderabad, Sialkot, Muzaffarabad, or Gilgit.
The PCB expressed satisfaction over the increasing interest in acquiring team franchise rights. The public advertisement for team franchise rights was published on 15 November 2025, the PCB said.
Parties from around the world interested in obtaining team franchise rights have been invited to submit their bids, the PCB added. The deadline for submitting technical proposals is 15 December 2025 at 11am, as per the PCB.
