US President Donald Trump has confirmed that the United States is producing F-47 fighter jets, terming them as ‘highly advanced’.
Addressing the US-Saudi Investment Forum, Trump said the business gathering included some of the world’s foremost leaders and praised Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as ‘an outstanding figure’. He said that Saudi Arabia had become a major non-NATO ally of the United States and highlighted a historic defence agreement between the two nations. Trump added that the US possesses the world’s most sophisticated defence equipment.
He stated that Iran’s nuclear facilities had been destroyed and would not be rebuilt, and claimed that the US had established peace in Gaza. The president also referred to the Crown Prince’s pledge of a US$1 trillion investment, the supply of F-35 aircraft to Saudi Arabia, and expanded cooperation in artificial intelligence and other sectors. He said that agreements worth US$270 billion were being signed between dozens of companies during the forum.
Trump maintained that Iran seeks a deal with the United States and expressed hope that negotiations would succeed. He described Saudi Arabia as the US’s largest non-NATO ally and said he had strengthened the alliance in collaboration with the Crown Prince.
The president added that the US had reduced a previously high inflation rate to its lowest level within nine months.
