Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said on Wednesday took a jibe at the political opponents, saying that some people have wasted years and failed to serve the country.
Addressing a launching ceremony of the electric buses in Rawalpindi, CM Maryam said: “The electric buses’ fare fixed at Rs20. Meanwhile, the elderly citizens will have to pay no fares.” The Punjab CM has recounted the contributions made by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in the national progress, saying that the PML-N has always delivered in Rawalpindi.
"Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif have launched many development projects in Murree," she said.
CM Maryam said: "Rawalpindi gifted 80 buses. The work is about to start on Islamabad Expressway, which is a signal-free project. The work is also being done on the completion of the hospitals in Rawalpindi."
“The system has been formed to ensure that the women in Punjab can use the electric buses’ facility. I will not rest until the women get complete protection.”
CM Mayram said: “Over 100,000 houses are being constructed in Punjab. The new hospitals are being constructed in the province. The Punjab’s first cancer hospital will be operationalised in Punjab from December or January.”
Speaking about PML-N President Nawaz Sharif, CM Maryam said: “Whenever, Nawaz Sharif has been removed, the country has to face hardships. The country has always steered towards the prosperity during the tenure of Nawaz Sharif," the chief minister maintained.
“Within the six months, 1,000 roads are being constructed in Punjab,” she said.
