Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced a plan to raise investment in the United States to $1 trillion, as United States President Donald Trump confirmed that a defence agreement with Saudi Arabia had been concluded and that the Kingdom would purchase F-35 aircraft.
The crown prince made the announcement after a meeting with President Trump at the White House. He said that investment in the United States could rise further. He praised President Trump’s role in efforts to establish peace in the Middle East and said that the President worked for global peace.
President Trump said that work proceeded on approval for advanced chips for Saudi Arabia and that genuine opportunities existed in the field of artificial intelligence. He said that he had no link to family business interests and welcomed Saudi Arabia’s intention to increase investment to one trillion dollars.
Trump said that he welcomed Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, whom he termed as a future king. He said that he had earlier told the crown prince’s father that Mohammed bin Salman was an excellent man. Trump said that he brought $20 billion to the country in one year, reduced inflation to its lowest level and pursued new American oil reserves.
Trump said earlier that the Oval Office hosted a highly respected guest. He termed Mohammed bin Salman as a close friend and said that the crown prince’s actions were remarkable in every respect, including human rights. He said that Saudi Arabia had agreed to invest $600 billion in the United States and that the amount could rise.
He said that energy prices in the United States fell sharply. He said that American B-2 bombers destroyed Iranian nuclear facilities. He said that he halted eight wars and stopped a conflict between Pakistan and India.
The crown prince said that a two-state solution must be secured before the Abraham Accords and that Saudi Arabia wished to join the accords.
President Trump said that Israel would welcome the arrival of F-35 aircraft in Saudi Arabia. He said that a civilian nuclear agreement with Saudi Arabia was possible. He described the Kingdom as a great ally. He said that the Crown Prince requested the removal of sanctions on Syria and that their discussion on the Abraham Accords was positive. He said that Saudi Arabia deserved high-grade F-35 aircraft.
Mohammed bin Salman said that Saudi Arabia would give full effort to an Iran agreement and that the Kingdom wanted peace for Israelis and Palestinians.
President Trump said that a defence agreement with Saudi Arabia had been finalised, that the Kingdom would buy F-35 aircraft and that Iran wished to conclude an agreement with the United States.
