Pakistan Shaheens secured a 40-run victory over Oman in the Asia Cup Rising Stars fixture at West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha on Friday.
Maaz Sadaqat led the win with an unbeaten 96 from 54 balls and two wickets for 14, a performance that earned him the Player of the Match award. Shaheens set a total of 220 for four in their 20 overs after Oman elected to field. Sadaqat dominated the innings with nine sixes and five fours.

Captain Irfan Khan added 44 from 21 deliveries, while Yasir Khan and Mohammad Faiq contributed 26 and 19 respectively. Saad Masood finished with 19 not out from six balls. The side reached a run rate of 11 an over.
Oman reached 180 for nine in reply. Zikria Islam top-scored with 57 from 28 balls, and Muzahir Raza produced an unbeaten 46 from 24. Captain Hammad Mirza added 34. However, regular wickets halted the chase. Ubaid Shah took three for 29, and Sadaqat and Saad Masood took two wickets each.
Shaheens controlled the match from the outset and closed the contest with a comprehensive margin as Oman fell short in the final overs.
