The military leadership reaffirmed the commitment to strengthen brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Sahir Shamshad Mirza has visited Saudi Arabia and met Chief of General Staff (CGS), the Saudi Armed Forces, General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili.
The two generals discussed the global and regional security situation and ways to enhance bilateral defence cooperation. Both sides reiterated their determination to deepen a sustainable defence partnership. General Sahir Shamshad Mirza was awarded the “King Abdulaziz Medal of Honour of the Excellent Class" during the visit.
The Saudi military leadership commended the professional expertise of Pakistan’s armed forces and acknowledged the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee’s efforts in consolidating Pakistan–Saudi Arabia relations. General Al-Ruwaili also recognised the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army in the fight against terrorism.
