Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the hearts of Pakistan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey beat together.
Addressing the Victory Day parade ceremony in Azerbaijan’s capital, PM Sharif said Pakistan’s armed forces have demonstrated exceptional courage, downing seven of the enemy’s best fighter jets during past conflicts.
“The so-called social media thrive on stealing our children's time, childhood, and well-being — and we are putting a stop to that now,” she declared.
He expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for inviting him to the celebrations and praised the unity between the three nations.
“On behalf of the people of Pakistan, I congratulate the people and government of Azerbaijan. Participating in this ceremony is an honour for me,” he said.
PM Sharif also appreciated Turkey and Qatar for facilitating peace talks between Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban regime and lauded the collective efforts of all countries that showed responsibility during the Gaza peace agreement.
He added that Pakistan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey would continue to strengthen their friendship in the future.
'We will never forget Pakistan and Turkiye’s support'
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, while addressing the ceremony, said that Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Turkey had taken their mutual relations to new heights.
“The way Turkey and Pakistan supported us will never be forgotten. I am happy that my brother Shehbaz Sharif and my brother Recep Tayyip Erdogan are participating in the ceremony,” he said.
Aliyev added that troops from friendly countries, including Pakistan and Turkey, joined the Victory Day parade to celebrate the liberation of Azerbaijani territories.
He praised the bravery of Azerbaijani soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the 44-day war, noting that their struggle brought lasting peace and victory to the nation.
“The Armenian army dreamed of drinking tea in Baku, but their tanks are now our trophies. On November 8, we conquered the city of Shusha, which was considered impregnable,” he said proudly.
Aliyev further emphasized that Azerbaijan’s combat capabilities have increased and that the country is entering a new era of peace and stability under his leadership.
Erdogan: “Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Turkiye are a family”
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan congratulated the Azerbaijani people on the occasion of Victory Day, calling the three nations “a family bound by history, faith, and brotherhood.”
“Azerbaijan has achieved remarkable success under the leadership of Ilham Aliyev. We must continue to move forward with unity and solidarity,” he said.
Erdogan paid tribute to the courage of Azerbaijan’s soldiers and expressed happiness over attending the Victory Day event for the fifth time.
“Karabakh will now be a place of peace and prosperity. I hope this victory will pave the way for lasting peace in the region,” he said, reaffirming his country’s commitment to strengthening trilateral ties with Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
