Charith Asalanka will captain both white-ball squads as Sri Lanka return to international action.
Sri Lanka Cricket announced the men’s squads on Friday for the upcoming tour of Pakistan, which will include a three-match One Day International (ODI) series and a T20I tri-series featuring Zimbabwe.
The last meeting between Sri Lanka and Pakistan came during the Asia Cup Super Fours, where Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka to reach the final.
Pakistan enter the series following two Test matches, which were drawn 1-1, and three T20Is against South Africa, winning the T20I series 2-1 at home. They are currently level with the Proteas in a three-match ODI series at 1-1.
Charith Asalanka will lead Sri Lanka in both formats. A significant change in the ODI squad saw Dilshan Madushanka, originally selected but sidelined with a knee injury, replaced by Eshan Malinga.
Matheesha Pathirana will miss the tour due to an upper respiratory tract infection, with Asitha Fernando named as his replacement.
