Pakistan's sports journalist Hafiz Muhammad Imran urged on Wednesday the need for strengthening the Pakistan Shaheens and U-19 sides to sustain the players outside the national cricket team.
Expressing his thoughts on Samaa TV programme "Zor Ka Jor", Imran said: "If you have settled players, why would you want to disturb the balance? If a player cannot secure a place in the national team, the A team bench should be strong enough to keep him playing regularly in South Africa, Australia, England, and New Zealand."
"If a player is not in the national team, he remains busy and engaged in top-level competitive cricket during tours," Imran maintained.
He added: "Earlier, unnecessary experiments were avoided, but now you conduct unnecessary experiments and have no roadmap to keep yourself relevant in the international cricket."
