Unofficial and unconfirmed results of the Bar Council elections in Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been received.
Sindh Bar Council
The counting of votes for the Sindh Bar Council elections continues. Independent candidates have secured victories in the Kashmore and Jacobabad constituencies. Independent candidate Abdul Ghani Bijarani won with 861 votes, while his rival from the Peoples Lawyers Forum, Ahmed Raza Sundrani, obtained 716 votes. Bijarani defeated his opponent by a margin of 145 votes. His supporters celebrated the victory enthusiastically.
From Ghotki, Progressive Lawyers’ candidate Abdul Razzaq Mehr won the Sindh Bar Council seat with 260 votes. Chaudhry Shahid Rajput of the Sindh National Lawyers group stood second with 98 votes.
In Naushahro Feroze, Lawyers Forum candidate Abdul Sattar Leghari secured victory with 559 votes, while Nisar Mallah obtained 225 votes and came second.
Balochistan Bar Council
From Pishin, Professional Panel candidates Najeebullah Kakar and Afzal Hareefal won with 21 and 20 votes respectively. From Nushki, Professional Panel candidates Attaullah Lango and Akbar Shah were elected with 10 votes each. Vote counting continues at the Quetta polling station.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council
In the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council elections, the counting of votes is under way. From Abbottabad, Syed Shah Faisal Advocate and Muhammad Ali Khan Advocate have won their respective seats.
