Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi said Pakistan will not leave the field open for India over the Asia Cup trophy at the upcoming International Cricket Council (ICC) meeting.
According to details surfaced on Saturday, during an informal discussion with the journalists in Lahore, Naqvi made it clear that Pakistan will participate in the ICC meeting.
The issue arose after the secretary of the Indian board indicated that the matter of the Asia Cup trophy would be raised at the forthcoming ICC meeting. The situation followed the refusal of the Indian captain to receive the trophy from Naqvi after India’s victory in the Asia Cup.
It is pertinent to note that the ICC meeting scheduled to take place in Dubai from November 4 to 7.
