Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza and the Bangladeshi army chief, Waker-Uz-Zaman have welcomed the positive trajectory of defence cooperation between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the CJCSC met the Chief of Army Staff of the Bangladesh Army, at Army Headquarters in Dhaka. They agreed to maintain regular exchange visits at various levels of military leadership.
The meeting addressed the evolving global and regional security environment. General Shamshad Mirza and General Waker-Uz-Zaman emphasised the importance of further strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two armed forces. Discussions covered training, joint exercises, and sharing experiences in counter-terrorism operations.
Both military leaders expressed concern over disruptive and divisive disinformation campaigns spreading across multiple platforms. They reaffirmed the need to enhance mutual cooperation and joint efforts to counter such threats effectively.
