Pakistan’s red-ball captain Shan Masood has been appointed Masood as Consultant International Cricket and Players' Affairs following the removal of Usman Wahla from the post.
According to sources, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi announced Masood’s appointment during a dinner in Islamabad on Friday.

Earlier, the PCB had removed Usman Wahla from his position as the director international cricket operations.
According to details surfaced on Sunday, the PCB has advertised the vacancy for the post of Director International Cricket Operations. According to the announcement, candidates must have played either Test or One Day International cricket. The deadline for submitting applications is November 2.
Wahla had previously been suspended following a delay in taking action during the Asia Cup match against India. His transfer to the PSL remains under consideration.
Meanwhile, Wahla is expected to be reassigned to the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
