Adviser to the prime minister on political affairs, Rana Sanaullah said on Saturday that the "good and bad Taliban" theory has failed and that any act of terrorism will receive a befitting reply.
Speaking to media in Lahore, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) stalwart said: "There is no such thing as good or bad. A person is either a terrorist or not. We will not allow anyone to look at Pakistan with a dirty eye. Any terrorism will receive a befitting reply."
Sanaullah added: "Pakistan will never take the initiative in a war. Pakistan will not rely on anyone in a fight. I am extremely sorry about the behaviour of Afghanistan."
"We can no longer hold the funerals of martyrs. We will not allow anyone to spread chaos and sedition," he maintained.
Meanwhile, Sanaullah said that banning any party is no longer the policy of the PML‑N. The PML-N stalwart said the Punjab government has sent its recommendation to the federal government; the federal cabinet must take a decision.
