Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar expressed deep concern over recent developments on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, calling Taliban-led firing and raids a "serious provocation."
In a message posted on X, Dar said Pakistan’s strikes and responses are aimed at Taliban infrastructure and at neutralizing "Fitna-e-Khawarij and Fitna-e-Hindustan" terrorist elements operating from Afghan soil. He stressed that the defensive operations are not targeted at peace loving Afghan civilians and that Pakistan is exercising extreme caution to avoid civilian casualties.
Dar urged the Taliban government to take concrete measures against terrorist elements and their perpetrators, warning that Pakistan will take all possible steps to defend its territory, sovereignty and people.
