The Pakistan Army successfully targeted hideouts of Khawarij and ISIS inside Afghan territory, which operates under the interim Afghan administration.
Military action included the use of artillery, tanks, and both light and heavy weapons, along with aerial resources and drones to engage targets linked to ISIS and foreign militant elements.
The headquarters of Afghan forces believed to be providing shelter to ISIS and Khawarij militants were also struck. Afghan troops withdrew from several areas following the strikes.
Unprovoked attacks were carried out by Afghan forces at Angoor Adda, Bajaur, Kurram, Dir, Chitral, and Baram Chah. This escalation occurred during the Afghan Foreign Minister’s visit to India. Dozens of Afghan troops and Khawarij militants were killed during Pakistan’s retaliatory action. Taliban fighters fled from numerous posts, leaving behind casualties. The Pakistan Army effectively struck multiple Afghan positions.
The firing appeared intended to facilitate the movement of Khawarij militants across the border.

Pakistan Army's response was described as forceful and sustained. The Qila Abdullah sector, located along the porous frontier, has seen increased hostilities in recent days.
Security officials confirmed the destruction of the Afghan post, highlighting that the response was in line with Pakistan’s defence posture following cross-border attacks.
Kharchar Fort destroyed as Pakistan repels Afghan aggression
