Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed on Wednesday confidence in further strengthening strategic, defence and trade ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, following a high-level meeting with a delegation from the Saudi Shura Council.
According to details, the visiting delegation was led by Saudi Shura Council Chairman Dr Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Sardar Yousaf were also present during the meeting.
The prime minister conveyed his good wishes to King Salman and prayed for the health of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. He commended Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman’s vision for development, describing Saudi Arabia’s recent progress as exemplary and a model for other nations.
PM Shehbaz said the recent defence agreement between the two countries reflects mutual trust and long-standing bilateral relations. He welcomed the agreement, adding that it will enhance cooperation in the strategic, defence and trade sectors.
Dr Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh thanked the premier for his hospitality. He underlined the significance of the visit in the context of the joint defence agreement and emphasised the importance of further strengthening parliamentary ties.
Both sides agreed on the exchange of parliamentary delegations to deepen mutual understanding and cooperation.
– Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar meets Saudi business delegation –
A high-level Saudi business delegation, led by Saudi-Pakistan Joint Business Council chairman Prince Mansour bin Mohammad Al Saud, met Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the growing economic relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The deputy prime minister promised to provide all possible facilities to Saudi investors.
Dar highlighted vast potential for further cooperation between the two countries. He reiterated his commitment to supporting Saudi investors. Prince Mansour described the Saudi-Pakistan Business Council as one of the most successful forums worldwide. The leaders agreed to strengthen economic ties for common prosperity.
