BCCI skips Dubai final
According to Indian media, top BCCI officials have decided not to travel to Dubai for the Asia Cup summit clash between Suryakumar Yadav’s India and Salman Ali Agha’s Pakistan.
The much-anticipated final, being played at the Dubai International Stadium, marks the first time in 41 years that the two arch-rivals are facing each other in an Asia Cup title decider.
Focus on women’s World Cup
Reports further state that senior BCCI officials will instead attend the Women’s World Cup opening ceremony scheduled to take place in Guwahati on September 30.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman and Asian Cricket Council President Mohsin Naqvi has reached Dubai from the US. Naqvi is also set to hand over the Asia Cup 2025 trophy to the winning team.
